Maia, 19 years old, Amsterdam. Enjoying the first day of spring in the Netherlands. Go-go-dancer, freefighter and photographer. Likes to organize parties and to open her own a real-life Facebook-club with speed-meetings, movie nights and indoor-shopping.
Tina, 18 years old, Rotterdam. Played many years as a goalkeeper in a football team. She loves animals and used to keep rats and cats, among a lot of other pets. Wants to become a biology teacher.
Kaycee, 15 years old, Rotterdam. Listens to metal music and is planning to visit some concerts in the summer. Loves to play songs on Guitar Hero.
Tijgerlelie, 11 years old, Amsterdam. Wants to become a professional writer. Found a publisher to print her very first book (this summer in the shops). Her personal favorite book is Ronia the Robber’s Daughter from Astrid Lindgren. She also likes singing, dancing and acting.
Natalie, 18 years old, Amsterdam. Studies Culture and Media at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Thinks about getting a job in the world of television. Favorite movie: The Shawshank Redemption.
Zamira and Jessy, both 15 years old, Amsterdam. Celebrating Valentines Day today. Together for two weeks now. Both photographed before for this project, in a time they weren’t friends yet.
Nenah, 15 years old, Amsterdam. Likes to paint, sing and to play drums and guitar. She is into melodic, progressive metal, although she doesn’t like the word ‘metal’ because it may deter people. But she also likes blues and jazz. Educated at the Centre of Creative Learning.
Jedidja, 16 years old, Amsterdam. The only person to be photographed three times during this project. She is more and more focussing on music, and will perform tomorrow in the famous concert hall Bimhuis in Amsterdam.
Rebecca, 21 years old, Amsterdam. Learns to become a baker. Meanwhile also designing all kind of stuff, from jewelry to clay objects. Interested in drawing tattoos.
